Reporting to the Superintendent, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising planned and reactive maintenance activities across marine civil assets including berths, jetties, piles, suspended decks, superstructures and seawalls. This role will oversee contractors delivering maintenance works, shutdowns and minor projects while ensuring compliance with safety, quality and operational requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating planned and reactive maintenance activities across marine infrastructure assets
- Supervising contractors and ensuring works are completed safely, on schedule and to specification
- Preparing scopes of work and assisting with maintenance planning and budgeting
- Reviewing inspection reports and asset condition data to identify maintenance requirements
- Managing permits, site access, inductions and contractor compliance
- Monitoring project costs, schedules and quality outcomes
- Updating asset registers and maintenance records following completed works
- Liaising with maintenance planners and operational stakeholders regarding asset availability and maintenance priorities
- Trade qualifications in Civil or Marine Construction, or extensive relevant industry experience
- Strong experience within marine civil infrastructure maintenance or construction environments
- Proven contractor management and maintenance supervision experience
- Knowledge of maintenance planning, contract administration and project delivery
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety legislation and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication, coordination and problem-solving skills
- Current C Class Driver's Licence
- 6-month contract with potential extension
