Key Responsibilities
- Monitor design development and identify technical/design issues
- Review technical documentation and respond to technical queries
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, consultants and project teams
- Coordinate and track design deliverables and documentation
- Provide technical support across electrical, instrumentation and control disciplines
- Support the Major Projects team in managing project design activities
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years’ experience delivering mining and/or industrial projects
- Strong experience with HV/LV electrical assets including design, construction and maintenance
- Ability to analyse existing and proposed HV/LV systems and provide recommendations
- Experience writing technical specifications and reports
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge of relevant Australian standards and statutory requirements
- Owner’s Engineer experience
- Chartered Engineer status (or eligibility)
- Experience within port or heavy industrial environments
- Knowledge of Western Power Technical Rules and embedded networks
- Experience with:
- Protection grading
- Substation earthing systems
- PLC (Rockwell) and SCADA systems
- Hazardous Area installations
- Renewable energy systems
- CCTV and access/security systems
- $100 per hour flat rate
- Monday to Friday | 40 hours per week
- 6-month contract with immediate start available
