Rollingstock Support Opportunities - Shunter / Train Driver & Yard Master

No Rail Experience Required | Full Paid Training | Bellevue

On Track Recruitment is seeking reliable and motivated individuals to join a leading rail maintenance provider in Rollingstock Support positions based in Bellevue.

Successful candidates will complete 10–20 weeks of fully paid Rail Car Driver training before commencing in either a Shunter / Train Driver or Yard Master position.

Positions Available:

Shunter / Train Driver (Rollingstock Support Level 1)

• Move trains safely throughout the maintenance depot
• Assist with train movements and positioning
• Complete pre-start inspections
• Perform general yard duties
• Clean and prepare railcars
• Communicate using two-way radios while following safe work procedures

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and wants to build a long-term career in rail.

Yard Master (Rollingstock Support Level 2)

• Coordinate daily train movements
• Plan railcar availability for maintenance
• Allocate yard resources efficiently
• Liaise with operations and maintenance teams
• Ensure safe and efficient yard operations
• Maintain accurate communication throughout each shift

This position suits someone who enjoys coordinating operations and working in a fast-paced environment.

• $52.26/hr Day Shift
• $62.72/hr Afternoon & Night Shift
• Overtime penalties

Yard Master

• $55.68/hr Day Shift
• $66.81/hr Afternoon & Night Shift
• Overtime penalties

About You To be successful, you will have:

• Current C Class Driver's Licence
• Excellent attendance and reliability
• Strong communication skills with clear spoken English
• Ability to work safely using two-way radios
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Availability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and overtime
• Full Australian working rights
• Ability to pass a Rail Category 1 Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screen
• Ability to obtain the required rail clearances
