We are currently seeking qualified Electricians or Electrical Fitters to join a leading rail maintenance team based in Perth. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within the rail sector while working on the maintenance, repair and reliability of passenger rail fleets.

Rates start from $64.31/hr applicable penalties, ELECTRICAL ALLOWANCE, with afternoon/night shift rates, overtime and weekend work available.

Available Positions

Train Maintainer – Electrical | Claisebrook Rotating Maintenance Roster
  • Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm
  • Night Shifts included on a structured rotating roster
  • Work across preventative and corrective maintenance activities on rail vehicles
Train Maintainer – Electrical | Nowergup Monday to Friday
  • Day Shift
  • Temporary contract through to 31 December 2026
  • Overtime and weekend work available
Key Responsibilities
  • Working with the Engineering Team, perform electrical works on both the A and B Series railcar fleets including: reliability improvement programs, modifications, repairs, obsolescence and general maintenance works.
  • Providing guidance and support to railcar maintenance teams to identify root cause of electrical faults and perform required rectification works.
  • Assist product support technicians with repairs and modifications of railcar electrical circuit boards and components.  
About You To be successful, you will have:
  • WA Electrical Licence
  • Electrical trade qualification
  • Experience in maintenance, fault finding and repairs
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Rail, heavy industry, mining or manufacturing experience highly regarded
