Role: Heavy Diesel Mechanic (HD Mechanic)
Location: Kalgoorlie (Fly-In/Fly-Out from Perth)
Roster: 2:1 (Two weeks on, one week off)
Duration: 2 months with the possibility of extension
Rate: $75 per hour
Start: ASAP
Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on heavy diesel vehicles, primarily road trains.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure the optimal performance and safety of the fleet.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely manner.
  • Utilize technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic equipment to identify and repair faults.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team to meet maintenance schedules and operational demands.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed on vehicles.
Requirements:
  • Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or equivalent.
  • Experience working with road trains and heavy diesel machinery.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work in remote locations and adapt to a fly-in/fly-out roster.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Must be available to start immediately.
